After you have sewn the pants and shirt and have "dressed" Stuffy the Scarecrow, use a piece of yarn or rope to tie the pants at the waist. I used another scrap to make him a tie. I also cut a 6-inch circle of felt to make him a beat-up looking hat. You might also want to add a couple of "tuffs" of raffia sticking out here and there to add to the scarecrow look.
