This is the scene where Joey is swimming back down to Davy's Place. Note that a miniature of the hull of the ship (about 20 inches long) is glued to a framed translucent fabric. This fabric is then lit from behind with an undulating light (known as a pani light) that helps create the effect of moving water. The camera faces the canvas. Joey is actually swimming somewhat horizontally towards the camera.
