A lot of people ask how we filmed Joey falling down those "dream stairs." This is the "transition stairway" between the one in his house and the last four steps in Captain Barnacle's cabin. This stairway is less than six feet long and is surrounded by black velour draping. The puppeteer simply manipulated Joey down the stairs as the camera filmed it from a number of different angles. A lot of the final effect is the result of brilliant editing, music, and an effectively realized soundtrack.
